When you cannot see the smoke from satellite imagery, I'd look at the earth.nullschool.net visualization, select "particulates" and then examine PM1, PM2.5 and PM10 satellite measurement overlays. Once you are at Earth.nullschool.net, you can also peek at "Chem" options and actively burning fires usually represent dark spots on the COsc overlay. The SO2sm overlay sometimes is also a good indicator. The Control forward and backward buttons allow to go into prediction or in the past in time. As far as I can see now the Creek Fire is not burning too actively any more, it does produce smoke, tho, the air quality is still bad (ref purpleair.com)

In the first clip with the clouds... it legitimately looks like there is a developing hurricane over southern Cali.

Prescribed burns without adequate extinguishers can backfire on the backfires.

+HoltHanleyWeather *State Forest and Fire Protection (CA, USA) has posted final updates for the Silverado and Blue Ridge Fires;* I'm estimating 100% containment by 7 November 2020. As of 6:32 p.m., 2 November 2020 (PDT), the National Wildfire Coordination Group has the Creek Fire 70% contained passing 377, 693 acres; the northeastward progress is moving from the standing deadwood into critically-dry brush in rocky terrain.
