WD-40 is a terrible lubricant. It's more of a solvent. It cleans well, works on rusted bolts, but don't use it as a lubricant. Use Tri-Flo instead.

I knew this 40 years ago. WD is more of a penetrant than a lube. Break Kleen for breaks, chain lube for chains, machine oil for mechanical parts, and grease for bearings....

Dont use wd 40 on bearings because it will remove the grease in the bearings. You can use it on chain for cleaning

Don't put this on your pedals, it will dissolve the bearing grease which will flow out leaving the bearing dry

If the pedals are stiff it's time to service them - disassemble, clean, new balls, re grease

Not trying to be mean but PLEASE don’t do this. WD-40 is TERRIBLE for all of his applications… this is more of a degreaser!! Please use a bike made lubricant

I use it only to clean the rust and after wiping off with the cloth use the bike oil.

It's a good metal cleaner and rust remover. But not a lube. It dries quick and becomes useless as a lube for metal. It's good for taking metal parts apart and cleaning them.. As long as you grease everything when they go back together😂
Good for cleaning a gunky old chain. Again so long as you apply some grease afterwards! Spray it onto the cloth instead of allover your bike! It's Most useful for rusty bolts n bits and many other odd little jobs. Instalube!

If you apply wd 40 in the paddle bearing it will destroy the grease and bearing movement
