Get Smart Detection Notifications in Unifi Protect

Clay goes over the notification features in Unifi Protect and shows how to set up Smart Detection zones, Motion Zones and customize the alerts for specific time blocks. The Smart Detection features of the Unifi Protect Security camera system are only available on the G4 line of cameras. At the time of production that is the G4 Dome, G4 Bullet, G4 Pro, G4 Doorbell and the G4 PTZ. You can find out more information about the other cameras in our other camera reviews. If you want to get the most out of your ubiquiti system you need to take some time to dial in the system to eliminate false positives as much as possible. It is really great way to get more out of your surveillance system and us the AI to your advantage!

Great video, unfortunately it looks like this feature is no longer available? My alerts seems to be replaced with "notifications"? Any other way to set these smart detection zone notifications?

I know this an older video... but do they have rich notifications? where you can hold down/ hard press on the notification to see a quick preview or image of what caused the alert?

Well I love the email notifications, as I want to know if anyone is at my doors or beside my truck at night . Unfortunately regardless of having a fairly small smart detection zone beside my truck, I get notifications when a large cat is detected instead of a human . Smaller kitty cats have not been an issue when I turned down the smart detection to 45%, but big kitties are still an issue as of just hours ago . The G4 pro would be great if you wanted cat detection to keep track of your cats lol

Thank you for the clear, and concise vids you are doing on Unifi. I was not aware that there is such a great deal of alert notification tuning for Protect. When you set the alert configuration as you did in this video are you setting these alerts for just your SSO account, for all super administrators, for all limited administrators, or a combination.
I am struggling at the moment with network alerts. I have been give super administrator access to some controllers that I assist with, but do not want to get alerts, as they are not my responsibility to manage, and want to turn off alerts to me, and not affect others. In 5x I saw where that was possible in each admin settings in 6x I do not know where to look. Any insite would be helpful.
