I’ve just started basing my decision around on who I sign from my academic solely based on if they have a face that looks good, a body type that isn’t ridiculous skinny or lanky that no pro baller would ever have. Even if they’re eating and potential is terrible I’d rather pour hours into getting them loan glitched and upgraded rather than sign players who don’t look aesthetically like footballers, I’ve found once I started doing this it’s impossible to go back to just signing anyone that comes into the academy, even if they’re potential is amazing

I love the youth academy feature in career mode. It helps when I am trying to rebuild a poor team in one of the lower divisions (such as EFL two) to have a few halfway decent and valuable players in my 2nd and 3rd seasons.

I literally can’t start a career mode because of the missing faces and the amount of ridiculous bugs they still haven’t fixed 3 months after the release of the game.

Got a 70 OVR rated 16 year old from my youth academy. Loaned him to a team I didn't recognize for 2 years. He came back as 84 OVR.

I wouldn’t recommend looking at value, as often youth players will generate in the wrong position for their attributes, meaning they will have a lower ovr and so a lower value, even tho they might gry a big boost if you change their position. So you could be missing out on a gem and I personally think it’s the most satisfying when you find a new position for a player as a coach

When I scout looking for Wingers, I used to find CF a CM a Lot. Its an interesting scout when you're looking for a 4-3-3 or 4-1-4-1

I do the naughty save and reload tactic with cup draws, and yes it isn't outright cheating, it is more like exploiting a loophole in the game 😜

I'd add don't send your scouts out on the first of the month if they are on a long search (9 months) and their return month falls next season, I never get a scout report on the first day of the new season

83 to 89 not good enough? Use him as a cash-grab, by the time he gets to about 75ovr that's an easy 10million, and add a high sell-on incase he does hit that 86+. Could be an easy 20m+ down the line

I suggest setting scouts up in Denmark. this being because whenever I set up scouts there I always find kids (16-17) with above 90 potential and already at a good overall (eg 70)

I once had a goalkeeper in the youth academy who was 5 foot 9 and had the worst goalkeeping stats you will ever see (he had 7 diving) but another thing that made him stick out was the fact that he had 87 speed, so he should have just chosen another position.

I had a youth talent (rb) i developed for 2 seasons to 77 overall. When the Januari transfer window open i sold him to Cercle Brugge for 44 million. At the start of the season after (end Juli, yes 6 months later)i checked up how he was doing, and he evolved to a 87 overall at 20 years being worth 110 mil😖

A few players with real faces were removed. Joaquin, Fabregas and others. At least, they could have been used as managers. So I am not going update the squads this time. In 3 months we will get a new FIFA, and before that I better use previous squad.

I found a 6.8 cdm and purchased him from barca for 200m he was a 89 when i signed him and now hes a 92
