Facebook started with college students and won them using stuff that interested them like relationship status. Airbnb started with those with extra space and willing to earn some cash during recession. This is years of observational skills and experience talking.

Step 1, say that you are a non-profit. Step 2, get a bunch of people to invest in your non-profit. Step 3, stop being a non-profit.

One of the best advice ever, experiment more, experiment fast! Another person who gave me one of the best advice in person said "fail fast, fail forward"! experiment, fail fast, fail forward, experiment and innovate based on perceived value cuz we don't know the value of innovation until realised, we assume based on perception.
