My parents bought me a Shepherd for my 17th birthday, because I was suffering from horrible anxiety! I'm 27 now and she is 10. She has transformed our lives so wonderfully and we love her so much! They don't tell you how silly Shepherds are or how goofy! She is very sweet and adores children! I feel so safe with her, I can't live without her

Love German shepherds but I would have to disagree with this breed being a top choice for first time dog owners. Very smart, seen plenty that try being the "alpha" or being strong willed. Have had plenty of people come in with a very misbehaved dog because it doesn't want to listen to them. Of course I say it's the owners fault but the breed does have to do a bit with it. Amazing dogs, especially for those that know how to handle them. Intelligent, loyal and plenty of energy.

Yes, it’s true. You will never regret having a GSD come into your life. I was own by a GSD for 7 of the happiest years of my life. We were never separated, from the time I picked him up at 7 years old until he passed away at 14. He was the most loyal doggo I have ever had the pleasure of their companionship. If, I were not 65 years old, and just serving cancer treatments, I would seek out another GSD.

I've always had German shepherd's in my life since I was 13 years old. My grandad got me my first shepherd for my 13th birthday. Never been without one. As the video says the are a great breed of dog. Always tried to get rescue one's. Even had them at our wedding. Our daughter has grew up with them 2 and my 2 sisters kids and grandkids have all grew up with my dogs. My female misty loves the kids that go to the primary school that we live beside. The teachers and the janitor know the both of them Odin and misty...Odin loves playing with the boys with a football ⚽️. And misty loves just following all the kids. And you. Never get an ugly German shepherd. Beautiful dog. I am biased ofcourse lol.sorry for the rant guys. Love from Glasgow Scotland.xx.

One of the best breeds for families. When you consider all that the pet can bring to you and what you are required to care for your pet, They have to be in the top 5 for sure.
On this clip, the puppy pictures are so hilarious and heart warming. Those ears just make you have to love them.

I lost my GSD, Shiner, today. He was 14 and watched me grow into a man. I moved out of the house about 2 months ago. The lessons he taught me and the love he shared with everyone will never be forgotten. I know he is happily running in the forever field right now and forever🥲
