'India-China have made some progress on disengagement', says EAM S. Jaishankar

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said that there has been "some progress" with China on the boundary issue. The minister said that approximately 75 percent of the "disengagement" problems have been resolved.

India China shares roughly a 2400 km border with various big disputes like Ladakh, Arunachal pradesh so I think face off is inevitable
