How To Predict Natural Disasters in Astrology
Показать описание
With lots of news of hurricanes hitting the US and Mexico recently, have you ever wondered if astrology could help predict natural disasters? Here are 5 things I found in my research (listen for much more on the new Quietmind Astrology Podcast below)
1. Natural Disasters Are Common
Earth experiences thousands of natural events each year, like floods (over 60,000), earthquakes, wildfires, and tropical storms. So in any given week, it’s almost certain that one of these events will happen somewhere in the world. So anyone can predict "a flood will happen this week" and be correct.
2. Tracking Has Improved Significantly
3. Tsunamis Are The Rarest
While smaller earthquakes and floods are common, significant tsunamis are much rarer, with only two or three occurring annually. The most significant ones are far rarer, with only 10 major ones in history. I looked at all of the charts for them and found only weak patterns - the strongest being that 5 of the tsunamis having Mula placements - which can often uproot and be intense. Rahu/Ketu in Mula/Ardra nakshatras is actually a strong predictor for intense, dramatic world events like 9/11, Covid and others, but that is not seen for Tsunamis.
4. No Strong Patterns
Some astrologers point to placements like Gandanta (when planets shift from water to fire signs) or Rahu-Ketu transits as indicators of potential natural disasters. While these placements can align with major world events like 9/11 or the 2020 pandemic, they don’t always correlate with every disaster. For example, my research on tsunamis shows no consistent pattern across major events. So while astrology can provide context around challenges or themes globally, pinpointing precise locations for natural disasters isn’t yet reliable, and I'm always open to being wrong and correcting my methods, but I haven't found a reliable method for predicting the location of natural disasters.
5. Personal Readings Are Far More Useful
Astrology, however, is highly effective for predicting and understanding personal events and shifts. By looking at your own chart, we can identify major transitions and themes. For example, if you’re in a Sadi-Sati phase, you might experience significant challenges, while certain transits over your 12th house could signal major losses. These are things I can reliably find from researching thousands of charts over many years - so you can pro-actively work with these energies to bring out their most auspicious outcomes.
Also I share the major transits this week including:
• Sat, Oct 12: Venus in Scorpio (24 Days)
