Sashiko beginner? Learn some basics with quick and simple practice projects for Sashiko stitching

In this video, I will show two very simple Sashiko practice pieces for basic elements of Moyozashi. Sashiko is mostly done with a running stitch, so it's really simple and easy to learn. If you practice with these two projects first, you will be stitch many Sashiko patterns with confidence!

Even if you are an absolute beginner and you don't have any Sashiko tools or you don't even know how to hold a needle, that's totally fine.
I have made videos explaining all those basic information too.

It's the first time I saw this kind of sewing by hand, and first time hearing the term sachiko 😳 i kind of saw curve stitch patterns through fabrics used in sofas but used with sewing machine. I love the patterns you showed it made me interested to try this!

I have just discovered this and your video is so very helpful. I am excited to try out your tutorial. I have the right type of cloth, but is it okay to use embroidery thread to start out with. I have macular degeneration so i wanted to experiment with it first before spending money incase it is just too difficult for my eyes. Hello! One question I have is what to do when you finish a length of thread, or you switch to a new thread. Here at 8:52 you just cut the thread at the last stitch, instead of knotting it or back stitching. Do the threads ever fall out of the stitch over time?
