Bay Area Residents Prepare for Weekend Storm

A storm system brewing offshore is slated to bring widespread rain to the Bay Area and several feet of snow to the Sierra Nevada, weather officials say. Thom Jensen reports.

After a previous storm, my block was without power for a full week. My three older pets really suffered from the cold. I don’t have any heat source except my gas furnace, which requires electricity, of course, to power it, too. It only took two minutes for the guy to climb the pole and hit the reset switch, we watched. I hope P.G.& E. can get it together this time.

I went paddle surfing this morning in Pacifica. The waves were decent. Then went to the High Tide Café for a killer lunch. Now I just get on here and watch people fake care about the East coast damage. I won’t fake it, ‘cause I just don’t care! Good surf, good food, good day!

Well, I gotta be extremely careful when I go see my dad on Sunday, since it's gonna be raining all day. The best way to do is the wear my rain jacket, my rain boots and my umbrella for protection.
