Craziness, big storms, stay safe everyone…. My family is there but they are safe up high . Mother Nature is a beast . Trust me i live in Florida, home of lots of hurricanes. Stay safe and be prepared for anything in this life

I'm no meteorologist but I've read many articles about the big glaciers melting due to global warming. Then sea levels rose bcz of the added water from the glaciers. Now we are seeing huge problems with this "massive bomb cyclone" all along the risen coastline of the Pacific and farther inland into California's Sacramento Valley too. Pacific Northwest has a few more big storms coming still on Jan. 7&8. Man, God help us.
Honestly we humans just take and take and take so much from the earth without a care for the future of our planet and the future generations of kids coming up. I feel like it's KARMA on a huge, unstoppable level.
P.S. I live over here where it hit hardest. There were people rowing canoes, kayaks and rafts down roads highways that became total lakes and rivers---never seen that here EVER.
Almost half of all the intersections in the city are lakes.
Lots of ruined homes & cars from flooding and from trees falling. A baby on a sofa got killed when a big tree outside suddenly fell into the home. The dad was right on the same sofa and saw his baby get smashed right in front of him. So so sad. 🥺RIP Lil Goldie (Baby's nickname was Goldie bcz of his hair color & his shining spirit.)🙏🏽💞
Supposedly this bad of a storm hasn't happened since the 1800s Gold Rush of the 49ers (in the Pacific NW).
Mother Nature is a BEAST.

In the mid 60's, we lived in Hayward and my brother was in the Explorers. He was put on alert because Oakland was sliding into the bay after a long rainy period. Also, the Russian River floods most years. Don't get caught up in the news hype. If you live in a flood plain, be prepared to get wet any winter. Better yet, don't build in a flood plain. See FEMA flood maps before you buy.

We’re so used to seeing hurricanes bomb the east coast seaboard…it’s a bit refreshing to us get hammered by much needed rain in this way….earth changes 😮
