With Spyro: The Reignited Trilogy finally being a thing, let's take a look at some more Spyro games! Starting here with the fifth main Spyro game, A Hero's Tail.

0:52 I'm in the minority who only knows of Spyro *because* of A Hero's Tail... But it was such a great game, have so many good memories and nostalgia from it and been meaning to replay it, so I guess that isn't a bad way to remember the character.

"Boy, how convinient is it that Spyro is here to save the day?" Go back to Spyro 2 (and to a slightly lesser extent 3) and you'll see the same exact thing.

I love this game. For me, the only major flaw is with having to do every mini game twice. I think if you only had to play through Blink's missions once and could get both the egg and light gem in one go, they would be far more tolerable. I also think a lot of the dialogue is cringeworthy, but since I enjoy most of the gameplay, I can let that slide. For me though, though this game ranks highly, the gba ones are my favourite out of the non-insomniac Spyro games (if you ignore a certain cross-over one....)

I think this game is pretty great tbh. Felt like an actual new game and not just trying to copy the originals (and failing).
Was pretty polished and well designed imo. I rate it highly. (Apart from the mole)

But I guess it was too little too late.

I loved this game, and I still do. Sure, compared to the original trilogy it may not be the best, but if I have such good memories of it and think of it fondly to this day, then it must have done everything right for me personally.

I love the Hero's Tail since it is my first spyro game i played when i was a kid. I really adore it and It got really nice theme songs!(The Beach level is my favorite xD) I hope they made a remastered of Hero's Tail with MORE bosses and etc(I know thats not gonna happen but anyone can dream right?)

I consider hero's tail a good game but if we're comparing the trilogy makes me think it's unfair. I'm still aware of its flaws but I give praise to all the effort they've pulled to show that insomniac is not needed. Just handled better

I love how Spyro in this game is more irritable, sarcastic or so done with everyone’s bs and tired 😂
The midair charge only works in glide when you hold down the jump button lol. Glad you mentioned the partially closed eyes. Never understood that as a teen.

I freakin adored this game as a kid, tho I played the Xbox version instead of GameCube. But it was one of my favorites :'D I sunk SO many hours into it just running around and enjoying the scenery and everything

I actually enjoy Hero's Tail, but don't ask me to 100% it, it ain't gonna happen.

And since I still haven't gotten a PS4 for the N Sane Trilogy (I'm just going to wait for its Steam release) then I might want to get one for Spyro.
