You know you can tell the bit is all the way in before you grind your chuck into the concrete right?

Just a heads up to anyone using Strong Tie products, search out the fastener schedules for each specific connector. A lot of their connectors REQUIRE 3" #10 nails or their 1/4" SDS screws. The #9x 1.5" screws are used for joist hangers and some tie downs; the angled slots of a joist hanger REQUIRE a #9x2.5 screw. Also, check into the concrete bolts. They are much easier to deal with than the old fashion expansion anchors.

My guy just going balls deep with that chuck 😂😂

I thought this was the wrong type of bolt but looking closer this is the bolt that expands as you tighten it. Thats actually the way they are installed.

Careful you might ruin your threads. You should run the nut down further and hit the top of the redhead. Thats why the threads don't go all the way to the end of the bolt.

I use anchor epoxy just in case and keep the post on center and use treated wood for exterior use but that’s just me

That chuck won't last then you're gonna blame the drill

That knot is going to be lovely in just a little while...

Layout works better when you get the post in the center of the concrete.

QUESTION! doesn’t hammering the bolt in make it harder for the threads of the bolt to have a grip in the concrete? Or do concrete bolts not work like that?

It's even easier to have someone else do it😁💪

My contractor missed the piers completely so id say this is spot on.

Will those little screws hold a deck from flying out?

This video is the best way to do if the concrete is already set. I'd put gravel under the concrete and set a pressure treated 4x4 directly in the concrete. Will not rot and will be strong

Can I install that on a decorative patio for a pergola?

First wait 28 days for full cure.
Then torque. So you are tight but don't fracture the pad

Would putting adhesive in the hole keep water from entering?
