I'm just getting into this album. Shame on me with my lack of care for the good things in life. Thanks for the breath of fresh air, Bjork.

There is so much space in this album, it's so refreshing! A vast dark vacuum punctuated with vibrantly glowing nebulae. Cosmonogy brings me to tears every time. Hard hitting tracks like Mutual core give me that exhilaration that I didn't really feel from Volta.

Bjork singing 'heaven' at 16:28 is probably one of the most enchanting things ever.

honestly if you say you're a die-hard bjork fan but you hate this album... you were never really a true bjork fan. if anything, this album is a simple retelling of a lot of concepts presented in all of her albums.

Bjork is the best thing to happen to me as an artist.

When extraterrestials come to Earth, I truly hope they come to listen to Björk's music in the first place. She pictures everything I would perceive in human beings to be the purest and most vociferous of emotions. It's like a signature of our species.

I discovered this album while in a geology class and it helped me achieve an artistic insight of the earth's workings...

Thunderbolt is a really beautiful track, especially the Tesla coil sounds.

cosmonology is the reason I rushed home to listen to this album today. The bass sounds like majestic whales

Why is there so much hate on this album? The theme is cool, it's about earth and minerals, or something. I'm tired of people wanting to relate to everything. Biophilia is magical sounding. I like the detachment in this one. I mean, it's no Vespertine, but it shows just how unearthly Bjork is because she is a fucking goddess. Vespertine was her human side. So yeah, it's Bjork as the universe, and it's demanding.

Mostly people wouldn't get this because it's true, it is highly inaccessible, challenging, it's harsh, and requires a lot of concentration, and appreciation for unconventional compositions, the songwriting doesn't seem to flow, if you aren't interested in such concepts, and looking beyond; to me this album is flawless; to others is just boring. This records is simply not for everybody.

Absolutely an amazing piece of art.. this Album combines a lot of great elements such as the feeling of Space that combined with the Vocals create a very unique and magical atmosphere.... Maybe this is something you don't find very often in most of the commercial music Albums yet it is beautiful, different and the most important part it involve you into the Artist world.

I feel this album is Bjork doing an excellent job at....painting sonic pictures with her music.  The musicality is very in line with something tangible.  The harsh beats of Crystalline, the "electyrifying" bass of Thunderbolt, the free falling chaos of Hollow, intesnity of Mutual Core, Dark Matter in all its trembling mysteriousness, i can go on and on.  The songs are, in my opinion, some of her most challenging, but they are executed beautifully with the idea of the record.  Will fans of her early work like it?  Maybe not, and that's fine, but there is something to be appreciated regardless, even if it's not one's cup of tea.
