Tomcat implements several Java EE specifications including Java Servlet, JavaServer Pages (JSP), Java EL, and WebSocket, and provides a "pure Java" HTTP web server environment in which Java code can run.
Tomcat is developed and maintained by an open community of developers under the auspices of the Apache Software Foundation, released under the Apache License 2.0 license, and is open-source software.

A servlet is a Java programming language class that is used to extend the capabilities of servers that host applications accessed by means of a request-response programming model. Although servlets can respond to any type of request, they are commonly used to extend the applications hosted by web servers. For such applications, Java Servlet technology defines HTTP-specific servlet classes.

I have eclipse indigo and tomcate version as apache-tomcat-8.5.35 and I have placed at C: drive where I have eclipse folder. But, when I try to configure server it not display tomcate version 8.5.35 in server list, it display till version 7.
Then how to solve it ?

Apache Tomcat 8.0.x has been called off and now it's minimum 8.5.x. I downloaded 8.5.37 Apache Tomcat version. Now, in eclipse when I am trying to add apache tomcat, there is only tomcat 8.0 server which is thus not allowing Tomcat 8.5.37. How to resolve this?
