Envelope hack - I would take your already made envelopes, line up the bottom holes already punched to the personal punch size (or the top holes), and then punch those envelopes with the personal size. That’ll give you extra holes on either the top or bottom, but you’ll be able to use them in both binders without needing two sets, and save you some money.

Welcome to the wonderful world of cash stuffing. It has been a major help to me in my budgeting amd I have been able to pay off so much debt since I started last August. As a single mom, it's truly been life changing.

Such a great idea to keep track of finances.
I have the same binder Ilysse gave you. I use mine with two envelopes one for planner spending and one for iPad savings. I am fortunate my husband handles all our finances and I just take $’s out for my spending. (We are retired older couple. )

One thing I encourage young people to do is save for retirement! I promise it will be here before you blink twice.

Thank you for sharing!

You should check out the Budget Mom. Her zero based budget is amazing. Also, unless you have some amazing insurance, you might want a sinking fund for your yearly deductibles. It saved me when I had a stroke two years ago.

I have tried this system a few times and failed...I started again in November and this is the longest I've stuck with it!!! Good luck, so far I'm loving it💜💜🖤 LOVE your envelopes

I’d love to see how you make the envelopes I’ve spent a fortune buying envelopes only to realize I still need more. Sometimes I’m good with using it and other times I struggle, but they do help me to stick with a budget when I’m diligent.

Love the video and the binders/envelopes! I'd love to see a video on how you made your envelopes. I'm a newbie budgeter too, but I'm doing a cashless sort of cash envelope system. I just carry ledger cards in my wallet for each expense and deduct as I spend (sort of like a checkbook register). That way I know how much I have left to spend in a particular category, and I don't have to go to the bank every payday. Looking forward to your budgeting videos ... well, all your videos actually! :)

Hello Desiree... I do savings challenges. I have 3.. 1: monthly Mason Jars 2: 52 week challenge (like yours) and 1 more yearly challenge. It's fun to see the cash add up! I love your font. Very classy.

I had started no spend one dollar and five dollar bills. I was able to save almost 300 in about 4 months once I started using more cash fior spending. I want to get back to it.

Been looking at a lot of these videos too!! Been thinking about starting one as well. I saw a cool tip that if you want to mostly do card use fake money to represent how much you got in your account each pay day and separate that way so it's more visual :)

For the zipper envelopes, you could just print on the vellum and insert it in the front of that envelope. My categories have changed quite a bit so especially while your new to it you can change it out easily if you decide to change a category.

I definitely recommend this system, I love it helps to rein in your spending and keep you mindful of how much you are spending🙌🙌 I would use the envelopes as a dashboard inside your zipper pouches. Good luck I know it will work for you💕💕

Desiree! I’m light weight mad bc YouTube unsubscribed to you… idk why. You’re my favorite planner creator and I literally watch every video you post! But just letting you know YouTube is on their sketchy stuff if you notice a drop in followers! Love your content ❤ Keep it up!
