When scientists first suggested that universe could be compared to a computer, many balked at the concept. They pointed to the ancient Greeks who envisioned a universe of spheres, and later, those who compared it to the workings of a clock. But what the research is suggesting is nothing so literal. Or is it? Journalist John Hockenberry sets the stage for this discussion with a clip featuring Brian Greene on the fundamental basis for this concept.
