In full: Keir Starmer questioned at liaison committee hearing

Sir Keir Starmer is facing his first grilling by Parliament’s powerful Liaison Committee.

The Prime Minister will be asked questions on the state of the economy, his plan to improve public services, global affairs and national security.

The panel is made up of cross-party senior MPs who chair House of Commons select committees.

It will be the final parliamentary act of 2024 for MPs as they prepare to go on their Christmas break as of this evening.

Sir Keir will be desperate to end the year on a high note after enduring a bumpy first five months in office which have seen Labour’s poll ratings plummet.
