"It is way better to get your dopamine from improving your ideas than from having them validated"
this quote made me realize how much i've let myself live without thinking, hooked by the bad side of the internet and social media.
friendly reminder to myself, you did better when you were younger, go back to those steps and improve from there, taking another path from there on
thank you for this video, kind stranger, it helped me see what i refused to see in me

The trick to being an autodidact is reading things and then saying them out loud, and listening to your own words.
Hearing things engages different neural pathways than reading them, and reinforces learning.

All of your videos are amazing. The short form script really makes every sentence seem valuable and keeps me locked in the entire video. Straight to the point makes it easier to implement in my own life as well. Thanks.

School destroyed my passion for learning as well. I feel like I learn so much more in a year these days than I did my entire formal education. And I second your thoughts on writing. I have a Remarkable2 tablet which I journal/note take on daily. I write constantly, essentially narrating my day. I write 4, 000 - 5, 000 words a day. Most of it is disorganized gibberish; just thoughts that come into my head. I know I'll never go back and read most of it, but that's not the point. The point is just getting it out of my head and onto paper. It helps to develop my thinking and reflect on ideas, and often gives rise to new thoughts, ideas, questions, and interests that I wouldn't have come up with otherwise.

I used to believe I had some kind of... Mental health issues... Because I think in juxtaposition to myself in manifold perspectives and with many arguments. Thank you for solidifying my sanity.

My brain was thinking about this as I was watching this video: I feel like it's honestly 100% input of other people as the language we speak was thought up by people same with all the books we read the only things that are your own thoughts are that of what comes out after learning knowledge

I must say that your videos are short. Most of your videos are under 5 min and that is great because for me, I only got a little time to watch YouTube and watching your video had been helping me a lot. Your video are clearly making me feel happy and wanting to be better every day, in the sense of making me enjoy some of the most boring activity throughout a day.

THIS IS THE BEST VIDEO EVER CREATED. THANK YOU BRO. For real, the past few days I've realized that the best thing you can do to have a better, happier life and become a better, happier person is by improving your rationality, your thinking, your consciousness. And, as you said, there is nothing we do in a daily basis that is more important than that. And, also as you said, being happy because of the cognitive/intelectual improvement itself is already rewarding. You need no validation. You need nothing external from you to be extremely happy and fulfilled. The money, status, attraction of women/men, respect/validation that you get from other people and external stuff like that are just natural results. They are nothing else than consequences.
Performing a behavior because of the passion and only for the joy of doing it, not caring about results besides the behavior itself, is priceless. When you enjoy thinking rationally and, more than that, you enjoy improving your thinking, your life gets so better.
