Love the chair! I can't see the transfer at all. Love the color. My daughter painted carpet with fabric softener & paint. Who would have thought! Congrats on the boat. What fun times you'll have!

Thanks for this video! I bought 2 chairs that have perfect upholstery but I don't like the fabric. You video is the first one I saw that mentioned adding fabric softener. Can't wait to try it on my chairs. Enjoy the boat! It looks like fun.

OMG! Susie, I spent all my summers camping at Guntersville State Park when growing up!!! Best times I ever had. We camped from the 1st weekend of summer break until after Labor Day. It was so nice to see the lake in your video. I love in ATL now so I don't get to visit the lake. It was a great surprise to see it again.

Very cool! I've tried it before but didn't add the fabric softener and wax top coat! No wonder it was rough and stiff! (You didn't get your stencil straight and centered, I would just be extra careful with that next time - maybe I'm the only one that noticed!) 😂

Oh my gosh, thank you for this!! I have a chair that was given to me and I was just going to give it away but I may try my hand at painting the upholstery! I also have two chair that go with a table that I used for staging but the upholstery is just not current. I hate to not sell it so I may paint those chairs as well! (Also, my maiden name is Gunter and I am pretty sure my ancestors founded Guntersville, if you are referring to the one in Alabama)

So does the wax prevent any bleeding thru, say if somebody sat in it with damp clothes or sweaty? Or white pants?
I would think it would need something like a Scotchguard sealer on it.
BTW, it is 100% better than it was!❤
