Expanding Same Day ACH (3rd Processing Window)

Did You Know… beginning in March of 2021, Same Day ACH transactions can be sent through the Network later in the day?

Previously, there were only two Same Day ACH processing windows – 10:30 AM Eastern Time and 2:45 PM Eastern, which limited the options for businesses operating in the Western time zones. If a business needed to send an emergency payroll, for example, and it was after 2:45 Eastern Time, it would have to provide funds another way.

However, now, effective March 19 of 2021, a third Same Day ACH window will be added, which allows for ACH files to be submitted up until 4:45 PM Eastern Time.
