Bit old here, so still missing the much older music. But yes 80 & 90's was really good. I have a bit of a gripe how some of those very good got to be a listers. I just listened to “Bob Wills Is Still The King” by Waylon Jennings today. And man….the best country music era has to be that 70’s outlaw era. NOTHING will make you feel the way you feel listing to prime 70’s Waylon. But that whole Texas scene from the 70’s was unreal. Jerry Jeff Walker, Guy Clark, Townes Van Zandt, Doug Sahm, Billy Joe Shaver, Willie freaking Nelson. But then I heard Asleep At The Wheel on my playlist. And that sent me off on a Bob Wills western swing tear that lasted all day. And Waylon was right. Bob is still the king.
