No Rookie Mistakes? Factory Rookies Shine in Houston

Not every rider starts out their supercross debut how they want to, and while a win would be an ideal way to start, all four factory rookies in the field at Houston this past weekend would likely consider their results a win. Haiden Deegan, Tom Vialle, Chance Hymas, and Talon Hawkins all impressed in their own ways and showed that each of them are ready for the big stage. Perhaps one day we see all four of them battling for wins and titles and we'll be able to look back at Houston to see how that seed was planted.

All the Rookies did tremendous. That Deegan kid is gonna be a problem for other riders in about 2 years. Dude has serious grit and doesn’t give up.

Hymas has really good technique. I like watching him ride the bike.

Honestly I'm not surprised to see Vialle almost ripping the holey, and leading some laps. Those MXGP KTM guys are different on starts, I'm sure we'll see more of the same in the races to come.

All these new kids including the ones like Dax and Cochrane are going to replace all the old guys like Aray and Martin. Ryder D and Evan Ferry are also yet to make there mark unfortunately due to injury but this batch of Deegan generation kids are going to be exciting.

Vialle Deegan and Hymas all did better than I thought. Vialle was basically faster than anyone but Hunter except for the whoops. He lost over half a second in the whoops every lap. Deegans corner speed is just insane. I don't know if it's his riding style but I don't recall seeing anyone rail corners as hard as he did since the 2 Stroke days

Love how excited Deegan was in the interview. I think he surprised himself. (And pissed off the haters at the same time.) Good job young man, good job 👏. Love from the uk 🇬🇧. Go Anstie.

More impressed with Vialle than Deegan . Tom has very little practice or time on SX tracks. Deegan lives on a SX his entire life . GO Tom 🤘but Good for all these young guys 👍 Only young once .

What's with Hymas having 832 as a number, deegans number backwards!! Appropriate I guess, he did finish backwards from deegan

I am a little worried when deegan turns 18 and controls his money and his life. Boose and broads are tough to avoid at that age. Just stay focused on your career

Did haiden deegan really say it was cool to pass Martin and vieille? He only passed them because they crashed. WTF lol.
