Mihawk does sound like the rich guy who can pull off going slumming - not hiding he's from the upper crust, doesn't act like he's one of the 'street rats', doesn't act like he's better than them, just goes as he is and is accepted by the others because they can tell he's ok

You cannot get better casting than that. Hands down possibly my favourite Anime/Manga to Live action adaptation. It works so well.
