Trump proved tougher than I thought and I did not take him to be a weak man. But the amount of pressure he took from the combined RNC, DNC, CIA and other intelligence services, plus the US media was incredible. Most. MOST men. MEN. Would have crumbled put under that pressure cooker.

Paused @ 9:51 mark. Trump was damn smart to do that. A good leader can spot good talent or high capability. And New York City has about 8 million people. Without Googling it my guess is that's more people in one brick, steal, and concrete city than in the whole state of Wyoming. Might be wrong I have not checked on that but my guess. In the context of a city, in context of large scale, that made the administration and capabilities of the NYPD something akin to an FBI within New York City.

That's some of the stage set. The other things that need to be brought out about our characters in this drama or thriller is that of the good veteran NYPD officers the environment (with corruption wide spread at one time) forced one to either sink or swim. Thus they were highly competent and very mentally tough. They were in sense, as one battle scarred and hardened police detective in Brazil described himself and the few Brazilian detectives he worked with, "they were warriors." That's another special breed of men... those underfunded Brazilian police DETECTIVES who go after VIOLENT gangs of kidnappers and well armed street gangs being semi-cartels. That one Brazilian detective had been shot MANY times and still stayed on the job and with his team. Anyways... next up are the members of the LAPD. A good portion of them were juiced up on steroids. They had some big cats. They didn't just act the part of competent and potentially fearsome cop, they looked the roll too.
