I dont mind having punjabi, Hindus and Sikhs living in brampton they're very nice people and their food is delicious, but I will say this: in all of my life living in brampton i never experienced so many issues with driving in brampton until indian immagrants migrated to this city, and because of all the car accidents and dangerous road rage, car insurance sky rocketed and now someone like me who has never been in a car collision has to pay hundreds of dollars because of their negligent driving my point is please be safe, focus and dont be distracted when driving. Follow the rules !!😁

When I was in Moga Punjab in 1990, my house owner used to live in Canada for 8 months and live in Moga for 3-4 months. In 1990's itself most villages in Punjab had atleast one member living in Canada

No hard feelings... But being an Indian I think when we live abroad, we should never forget our culture but should also try to mingle with the local population and make their culture our own...

I m living in uk for 10yrs now but i misss India very badly every single day of my life. I love my country and proud Indian. You always have feeling of 2nd class citizens in abroad caz u r. Their culture, food, tradition, belief, child upbringing, husband wife bonding, relatives, friend buying meals, respect etc all very very different than us. And thats wht I love in India n not selfish attitude lonely western life.

If they earn in dollars then spend in dollars also...remember if you want to drink sugarcane juice it will cost 200 rupees which cost in India 10-20

I've lived in brampton since 1990. Thanks to the Indians I don't have to drive back to Toronto to do groceries. I welcome the Indians. 🇯🇲 😎

Before I moved to Brampton, I had no idea HOW MANY Indians actually lived here. I'm of south Asian descent but I grew up here as a Canadian. I still keep my culture but I'm Canadian FIRST. It's true too, some of them don't believe in deodorant, holy shit I literally had to tell a guy who sat beside me on the bus that he smelled. I know it was rude but if someone doesn't tell these people, they will think not wearing deodorant is normal. I miss the Canada I grew up in. My friends were mostly white but there was a nice mix of us: white, black, asian so we all got along. Today, everyone is in their own groups, strangers are the enemy, there is so much more segregation than there has ever been. Not long ago at a Tim Hortons I heard an Indian guy who was clearly new to the country telling his friend he didn't have to learn English because everyone in Brampton speaks Punjabi, it was insulting hearing up Indians and any immigrants coming here: BEFORE you come here, learn English, LEARN the customs and learn the CANADIAN WAY. You owe it to Canada, give something back before you start taking.

I grew up in Bramalea former name...it was great back then...not anymore. Nothing against Indians but when there are too many of them it's overwhelming.

I live in Toronto n I respect Canadian culture as well. One should learn to mix up with other people and get respect in turn. I have problem with those who belittle their own country just to keep up appearances as Canadian. Be good Indian first then you will be good no matter where you live. Our actions here define the image of our country.

I m also Indian, I never went to college because my father can't affort that time, now I m also earning more then 3k (doller ) in a month in india, all you need to do hardwork and focus on the right things, in India you can earn more then anywhere else, but people don't try often, but people like easy thing so they go to abroad

First thing! Learn English before coming to Canada! I don't understand how the government gives study permit to people who don't speak proper English. Serious issue!

Ok so there's a lot of back and forth racial comments in here so I'm going out on a limb. I've been living in castlemore bramton since 2005 1st phase. It was multicultural then, which is how it should be. I grew up in Woodbridge where there were more Italians than other cultures, but I could get a job there, and I did not feel out of place. The problem that I have with Brampton is that, the Indians do not hire any other culture in their business places, from the banks straight down to the grocery stores. I would also like to keep my property value up to par and even that's becoming hard. Segregation is UNACCEPTABLE!!. It bothers me that the government is allowing this to happen. I see job postings online that's asking for Punjabi as a second language. Any job postings in Canada should have either French or English requirement, any other language(s) is a plus. This comment is based on my own experience being a resident of Brampton. Facts is facts!
