Old Guy here, touching the terminals with a rebuilt generator, is called Polarizing. Do it wrong on an old positive ground 6 volt, and it gets very hot. It's like connecting the jumper cables backward.

I had a '62 Ford pickup with a 292 Y block. Lots of torque but very low HP. If you wanted to go 70 mph, you were out of luck, but if your buddy was stuck in the mud, you had the right engine to pull him out . Great little engine.

This '39 sounds just like my Grampa's '54 Ford Y-block V8 stick with glass pack mufflers (One of my younger uncles talked him into it). Great stuff & memories.

Totally agree that the style of the 39 Ford logo was is amazing and so ready to hotrod. Big meats in the back and big displacement in the front and it would be perfect
