Procedural Prefab / Billboarded Props Demo

Terrain Props (trees) generated on the GPU and then rendered using instancing. When the player gets close to the trees, they swap out to their "prefab" variant and actually become gameobjects in the world.

All rendered using HDRP, and the billboard shader was implemented using shader graph.
