Sweet, was looking forward to a video like this. Even if you don't change any combat, having weapon drops be in different locations will lead to players playing in different ways with different resources they acquire through a non NG+ run. just something to consider

I know it isn't likely since you do not intend to change gameplay all that much; but seeing some love be given to the special weapons in the game to make them more impressive than generic longsword/katana/rapier/etc would be about the only suggestion I could make and not feel redundant

anyhow, nice upload. definitely answered some of the questions I had been wondering recently. That said, thanks for the video. it has cleared a lot of things up, and I wish you and your friends much success with this project :) Also, the visuals of this project as well as the bonfire sacrifice mechanics are probably the most interesting aspects of this mod, to me. I can't wait to see how this progresses.

im hyped as fuck now, god this is just what i wanted, staying true to the original experience while giving a fresh new way to play the game. This reminds me of The Convergence, in the sense that the new areas and shortcuts that mod added were weird and didnt feel organic, i cant wait for whats to come and any new developments, im a huge fan of passion projects such as this

Very interesting .
I have a suggestion though ...
Perhaps the " bonfire sacrifice " could be implemented in a better manner .
I elaborate, imagine that there are several prepared bonfires in a level, they are rare and tough to get to .
But there are also several other alters which you can turn into bonfires OR gain a large amount of souls . To do that you need a coiled sword which there are in limited supply.

I wonder if there's some way to implement dragging corpses, even if it's just one. Just for consistency with the fmv at the beginning of the game. Maybe consider creating a human NPC who drags some hollow around.

I cannot wait for your mod, from what you showed so far it puts vanilla DS3 to shame. I was also curious if the mod is going to have different dialogue and if so, are there plans for including any extra voice acting?

I think you should keep the dragging bodies mechanic just because it looks badass and goofy as hell at the same time. Which is something that From Software manages to balance really well.

I have to say I'm glad this is supposed to be a true to ds3 mod. I'm not a huge fan of mods that just shove so many different new items and stuff in there for the sake of it. I don't particularily like mods with "streamer references" or items from other souls games unless it was a "bloodborne mod"/ "ds2 mod". I've been wanting a mod that makes ds3 how it was supposed to have been when I first read that pastebin document of the crimson bat etc but unfortunately I can't make mods ;D (Something I'd love to do though).

The dragging mechanic would've been kind cool though if implemented differently, I like Radin Noushini's comment vvv I kind of saw the dragging mechanic as dragging any enemy that you kill but using a limited supply of something (broken coiled sword?).

Can't wait to play/ watch it when it comes out. Would love some kind hearted soul to drop you the gamescon version because out of everything God's Grave is something that sounded SO cool. There was also the concept for wyvern peak or something that looked pretty cool (been a while since i looked into it all tbh).

Thank you for your hard work, it's looking amazing so far. Making a dream come true even it's as close as it can get! (Glad you decided to share it with the community haha)

One more thing, love the fact you're so passionate about playing a version of the game you always wanted to, I can rest easy knowing it'll be as good as it can get because of your passion and not some half assed person haha. But yes I'm excited!

I am SO hyped for this mod!!! It looks STUNNING, thank you for your work!! I am actually wondering - would Project Eclipse be compatible (fully or partially) with other mods which add weapons, for example? Or mods that change movesets?

I have a few questions, are you gonna be using the original more Graphic fight with Oceiros, and also, are you gonna use the unused Crimson Bat theme in the Mod? Will you be tweaking Wolnirs fight at all? I think they did my boy dirty. Also, i’m genuinely a sucker for Souls music and It’s a sin that Crimson Bat is not in the game! I absolutely cannot wait for this mod to be finished! Your work looks great!
