Defeating Adventism # 119 – Seventh-day Adventists – The False Moses Resurrection Doctrine (Jude 9)

This video is the last in this recent series on death, the soul, hades and hell. This video exposes the Adventist doctrine that Jude 9 teachers that Moses was resurrected. The Seventh-day Adventists invented this doctrine to save and rescue another false doctrine. Seventh-day Adventists believe death is sleep and a person at death will only become alive at the final resurrection. Moses appears in Matthew 17:13 at the Transfiguration and a Moses who is presented as alive is a problem for this Adventist doctrine of sleeping at death. A Moses alive in Matthew 17 is a significant problem for their doctrine of death where sleep occurs until the final resurrection. To overcome this obvious problem that a living Moses presents, Adventist have invented a doctrine that Jude 9 teaches a resurrected Moses.

Jude 9 teaches no such doctrine and this video shows you the source of Jude 9 and what this particular verse is really illustrating. Seventh-day Adventism is a religion not to be trusted for biblical truth.

even after leaving adventism I still held on to this doctrine because of SDA assumptions I never let go of, thanks for clearing this up.

This is an incredibly informative video that brings more of their false doctrine into focus for me. Thanks for doing the research and tying it all together. 🕊️

I remember being at my father-in-law's house a couple years ago and Doug Batchelor was on tv talking about the supposed resurrection of Moses. So i decided to follow along in Scripture. Within a matter of minutes I could conclude nothing else but that Doug's real name must be Doug Bible-butcherer, not Batchelor. Oh man, it was excruciating to listen to his mishandling of the word of God in an attempt to try to get Moses resurrected.

Excellent video! I had a discussion with an Adventist about this subject. I was amazed how they ignored the plain words of scripture taken in context and instead read their doctrine into it (eisegesis).

Hi Jim, Monique here. I just finished watching the last video. As always, excellent. A lot of research in it. Thank you for the explanation of Jude 9. I never understood the meaning, but as a SDA, I never believed that Michael was Jesus Christ. I know they do. Continue the good work and God bless you and your mission. I am in a hurry to see the next video. I shared them with the pastors of my church. 🙏

Until recently the SDA colleges refused to offer archeology as a major.

Always something new comes up in this cult. Something horrible and against God. How can they still believe they are remnant? 😢 But I got one question about their salvation. If they believe in Jesus of investigative judgement but still think it's the Jesus from the bible, are they saved or no, ir we can't be sure? Because Jesus inly says that we have to believe in him and his resurection in irder to be saved. If I understand correctly.

I have the Amplified Bible Study Bible edition. In the footnotes regarding Jude 9 it states..."Jude's description here is probably taken from an apocryphal book called 'The Assumption of Moses', written in the first century AD. There is no record in the Bible itself of the archangel's encounter with Satan, or a detailed account of Moses' body."... I used to be SDA, then became Russian Orthodox. The Orthodox believe in the Assumption (Resurrection) of both Mary mother of Jesus and Moses. The Orthodox Church also believes that Prophet Elijah and Moses were in their glorified bodies at the time of the Transfiguration. They cite "Holy Tradition" as their source. Of course we have to cite Holy Tradition when speaking of the crucifixion of Peter and matyrdom of Apostel Paul, as these are not in the scriptures either.

Jim, EGW (of course) once again is the one who caused this false teaching. I can't fathom how SDA's would rather believe her than the scriptures! I thought people hated being lied to? Nope! Here is a quote from her false writings: Christ did not retaliate in answer to Satan. He brought no railing accusation against him, but raised Moses from the dead and took him to heaven.

Got this off the white estate titled: Moses’ Resurrection Certifies Satan's Defeat, May 3

Who touched Moses? Or fed him fish? (after his death) -Moses IS ALIVE but HIS FLESH is not resurrected

John 11:25-26
New King James Version

25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection AND the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. 26 And whoever lives and believes in Me SHALL NEVER DIE. Do you believe this?”

Mr. AcademyApologia has been refuting everything and presenting himself as the only source of truth. He has been growing bolder and bolder at it, until now he refutes the Bible itself, and equates the book of Jude to a pseudepigrapha, yet many of his followers are ready to cheer him - amazing.

Interesting video. I arrived at the same conclusions last year during a Bible study with my parents and it is abundantly clear that Ellen White has added to scripture and SDAs cannot see this. I attend the SDA church and I have dropped the label. I love my brethren and I intend to continue attending services but I do not subscribe to numerous of the doctrines. 🙏🙏🙏

Jude 1:9 is just one example of Adventist reading their meaning into a text ..this how they arrive with their twisted theology, but people like Doug Bachelor are always bragging about "how close their teachings are to the Bible"

Might be an odd question, but so, since Jude quotes from Enoch, that makes the little quote part of the Holy Spirit's inspiration, right? So while we don't consider the whole book of Enoch inspired scripture, we can accept that small part because Jude wrote it by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit into Scripture.

AA, do you use inferences in your Bible study?
Or, do you avoid inferences and look for the literal?
Honest question.

Speaking about things they do not understand & use dreams & visions to justify claims...that's EGW & the SDAs for you.
