I just ordered one. I’m going to pair it up with the Tamron 35-150 2-2.8 lens just like you did. I had that lens for several months with the sony a7 IV and the battery grip. I sold it as I thought it was too heavy. I tried other lenses but nothing compares with that lens. I think it should be fine with this light weight body. I’m going to get the the Tamron 20-40 2.8 also as it looks like a great lens also. Great review!

This is a perfect camera for business owners that are currently using mostly their smartphones. Much like Stephen, I always wished a pro point and shoot existed. A camera that I could hand out to the people I shoot for when I am not there. Something that is great in auto but is compatible with my workflows. Spot on. The price is interesting also, because its a pro price, there are less cut corners I feel.

When I bought the Sony a7c, I bought it kit with exactly that same small lens, because somehow it was cheaper. I normally use 2.8 zoom lenses, but when I went in a vacation and had to travel light, I only took that small lens. And you know what, it's not that bad, I was really amazed! So if the offer is good for the kit with that lens, it's worth having it. Anyway, great review!

Jared, What are you doing!?! I'm a stills shooter and am so not interested in Sony, yet I was glued to this video.... will you please stop making cameras I have no interest in so interesting!! You need to redress the balance in the universe, make a Leica Monochrome or Hasselblad X1 video quick!

One card slot used to be a non starter for cameras over $2k. Now it's 'keep that in mind". Cool small camera, but that heat issue limits it for my consideration. Would like to wait on future options. For this money, it's got a lot of competition like the s5iix, and canon r6. It does have some great convenient features. Great to see where this is going, but not quite baked yet. Great review. Looks like it was a fun day out.

I use the Nikon Z30 for my video streaming and walk around camera and it produces great video and images. The Nikon Z30 ($897.00)* with the kit lens costs about $1600.00 less than the ZV-E1 (2498.00)* with the kit lens. * B&H Photo Video 3.29.2023.
Who would pay $2500.00 for a Creative camera with ONLY 1 card slot? We can all remember the uproar over the 1 card slot body, or now it does not matter?

#6:56 What does 1 to 1 pixel readout mean? Does it mean that you crop the sensor until there's no need to do any resolution conversion? How much crop is this on the 12, 1 mp sensor?
