Great video, whether you realise it or not, you are fretting the notes right on the fret with your left hand which dampens the note slightly taking the edge off the sharpness. So when you want the snap you have it, Cool ... 🙂

Out of my speakers, not studio quality speakers, the first two positions sounded very similar, the bottom position sounded like pickup more open or little stronger than middle position, and the back position sounded like tone rolled off all the way, very dark. Great demo!

That "dark" sound you are talking about was Leo's idea of having the Esquire have a jazz tone.

I have never had a 1 pickup guitar. Since seeing this video, I have been checking out various 1 pickup guitars. I think I may have decided on a, , , Gibson Custom Shop 1954 Les Paul Standard Carved Mahogany Top P90.
