How-to Set Up My Trips in the My BMW App | BMW How-To

Track your trips to better understand your personal driving style using the My Trips function within the My BMW App.

To begin, select 'Apps' and then Options on the iDrive controller & update apps and services. Once complete, select 'Car', then 'Settings', 'General Settings', and then lastly 'Data Privacy'. From this menu, select My Trips and begin to gather data for the app.

The My BMW App also features a step-by-step process as well for setting up My Trips.

Once set up, the data will begin populating within My Trip.

Wonder if the dealers could look at that data and say perhaps “ Now how fast were you going on your way to “Grandma’s House” when the check service light came on? Naaaa that’s not something all BMWs dealers have access

I'm envious of all you M car drivers out there! I'm in an X5 50e and am getting some stupid awesome mpg from it. It has 6k miles on it and I've only filled the tank once since I drove it home. As good as that is, I'd trade it for an X5 M any day of the week!

I have an M340 and I don’t want to know what my fuel economy is either! If I did, I would probably be driving a Tesla! While I have your attention, the new grills are ugly, and we want our manual transmissions back!

The implications of this tech are worrisome. Data might be private according to BMW, but anyone working the data bases, e.g. dealership, well, your insurance would love to see your data, so would law enforcement, law firms, I am sure safeguards are in place but I need not remind everyone of data breaches….

Woke bs crap. BMW pushed software updates where you can’t permanently disable auto engine stop/start, now you have to do this every single time, it would be OK if NOT for the worst implementation of that feature where engine shuts off while you are still slowly rolling. This is especially annoying when you are trying to park, engine first stops then restarts with vigor, making your, otherwise careful parking attempts in tight spaces, extremely unpredictable
