This is actually surprisingly fascinating because in a silent film, these chords would be used to audibly translate emotion. So it's interesting to use emojis as a way to showcase that

You're about to solo. You ask the pianist what the chord progressions are. They make a series of very confusing and concerning faces at you. You play anyway and it still sounds fine because it's jazz and the rules are made up.
