In this video, I'll teach you in 5 easy to follow steps how to hit the flat tennis serve. If you're new to tennis this is the serve you want to start with. It's the "easiest" to learn. Right away, use the correct grip - the continental grip - to make sure that you'll later on be able to master the slice and kick serve.

This is my go-to video for serves. I have watched dozens and dozens of other videos but this one is the best. Simple, super clear and yet complete.

I'm going towards my mid-70s. Flat serves are just too tedious for my age although I used to do it in my younger years. I know slice serve but what I want to learn is the drop shot serve that will make my opponent with a similar age level run for the ball than having to wait for it on flat and slice serves.

Thank you very much for this. Is it possible you could also investigate the forms of serve takeback? Eg Abbreviated versus pendulum. Thank you very much for your great lessons.

Super useful. One thing important is do not use wrist snap. Wrist stayed neutral throughout the serve motion

Meike, excellent video ! Need your advice…I am a senior with a OHB… You have a lovely backhand… Can you recommend some lighter rackets that would be good for the One Hander? Much Appreciated, John

Thanks for the great video Meike. I see that you are playing with the VCore and not the Ezone or the VCore Pro. I have ordered the VCore 25 in for my 8 year old girl's group. How do you like the VCore compared to the other models? I think my girls get easier spin on the ball and power too, even if the racquet is only 25 in.

Good refresher. Think my issue as being a tall guy (6’1 or so) and having long Gumby arms, is the toss. I have to toss extremely high to reach full extension and it feels weird. My toss is shorter where I have a bent arm but lack power. Guess I need to just toss higher right?😂

I switched to the corner of 2 and 3, thats even better
