Legislative work at the European Parliament covers a wide range of highly complex and technical fields. Policy-makers deal with files covering a diversity of subjects, from EU foreign policy to EU economic and social, or structural and cohesion policies, as well as EU financing and budgetary, institutional and legal affairs. To assist Members of Parliament in their work, the European Parliamentary Research Service (EPRS) provides independent, objective and authoritative analysis and research on all EU policy areas, issues and legislation.
The EPRS catalogue, freely available both online and in print, includes short notes and high quality statistical infographics, which give a concise snapshot of a particular issue. For more in-depth analysis, EPRS also produces major studies, which are subject to strict in-house quality control.
As Members turn their attention towards the 2019 European Parliamentary elections, EPRS is complementing its catalogue of publications, from short notes to major studies, with resources Members can also use to inform public debate on policy and the EU.
