I was born in 1946 and have been grown up with these lovely songs. Now, when my grand children listen to the present day modern songs, I don't find any sweetness in the tune and the lyrics. However, our days have gone. This is the irony of life.

Sitting here, in front of this laptop, searching back through the years...just looking for music and songs I might remember from my childhood. I was born in 1948 and it's surprising what I recognise from those childhood days. My late Mother used to sing like an Angel and as I listen to many of the songs, it's her voice I hear singing them.

I wish i could travel back to that time and experience it first hand. before the horrid problems of today. a simpler time. with more respectful, responsible people. less fakeness. I was born in 1955. I really do appreciate the songs from the '40s and the '50s. WW II was just over for five years and America was, at least in popular songs, trying to find "normalcy." These songs prove it in spades...
