Rider died immediately after from hitting a rock, small bump, deer, squirrel, kid on bike, and grandma backing out of driveway. Unfortunate but he totally deserved it. * edit * the rider also hit a turtle, and this is a residential area. God bless.

I’ve done these speeds. Trust me when you start slowing down and feel like you are coming to a stop. You are still going 100.

Remember, speed never killed anyone. It's suddenly becoming stationary that gets ya.

Never drive faster than your guardian angel can fly.

As a sportbike rider, he was definitely pushing 200mph.

I've seen 167mph on the speedo of my CBR 929 and I was surprised how narrow the road gets at that speed...Thats been years ago now.

After 50 years of riding all kinds of bikes ( five as a motorcycle cop) without a single accident the idea of 200 mph on a public road really scares me. I've investigated a number of fatal motorcycle accidents and it's usually because of speed, lack of training, equipment failure, blown tire, engine explosion, thrown chain or striking other vehicles. All of those conditions could have been easily avoided and a number of fine young men would have been alive today. Like Dirty Harry said: "A man has to know his limitations". Live to ride, ride to live. Stay cool my friends.

I had a 2007 Hayabusa, but I only took it to 181 MPH and that was only for maybe 10-15 seconds .Trust me, there's a big difference between 150 MPH and 181 MPH and it's not just the 30 miles per hour . Tunnel vision is real as hell too !

I love how he knows his buddy is going to go by on a bike at 200 mph, so he parks his truck about 1" from the road😂

Damn. My neighbors and their dogs/kids enter the road from their driveways with wild abandon lol, no way I'd do that in my area with that many driveways, it would all end in tears 😢

Years ago in a Sierra Cosworth, I was in the vicinity of Donington, after the superbike races, a biker beckoned me to see if I could keep up, I got up to 168, think it shocked him a bit, but then the speed that he left me, to way over 200, was frightening, got balls of steel, or just mental, some of these bikers. Respect

11 years later, I wonder if he's still alive.

83 GS1100E about 140, 86 GSXR750 around 145. That was pretty fast and I loved every minute on those scooters. 60 years old now and I can say I am just as happy at 3 on my Kubota, lol

Riding that fast on a two-lane, undivided road with multiple access points and driveways is suicidal. I once rode my 2000 929 over the Fred Hartman bridge in Houston at 140 MPH, and it felt as stable as the chair I'm sitting in as I write this. But the only reason that wasn't suicidal is there was no way anything could have gotten in my way.

i love how the noise entirely changes when the bike goes past

For 6 years I owned a '99 Busa, slightly upgraded - TRE controller, sport air intake plus sport full exhaust system. Maybe two-three addional features, I can't quite remember now, but for certain nothing major as far as tuning. Its speedometer was the 340 km/h + dash (350) version. I don't know if its real speed and/or how much is the deviation compared to true speed, but I've reached the dash and kept the pointer there (350 km/h) numerous times, again and again. Never, ever someone passed me on the highway. Several motorcycles came close, also one or two cars, but actually no one was able to match and sustain my Busa' top speed.

Back in the 80's I took my friends V45 Magna for a ride and hit 130 in Overdrdrive. That was enough for me.

I got my R6 to 150mph. It was an adrenaline rush. The dashes on the highway looked like a solid line. Looking back I was really lucky and stupid for doing it on a public road.

I hit a bird once, at about 95 mph on a power line access road during a desert race while on a CRF 450 X. Scared the crap out of me and I didn’t know what happened until reviewing the helmet cam footage. I can’t imagine hitting some sort of critter at that speed. The fastest I’ve been on a bike was 140 ish on my CBR 600. That had my full attention and I’ve been riding for 42 years. I guess I’ve gotten to risk-adverse for that kind of pass, at least on a public road.
