I destroyed my shoulder on opening day and was the first injury of the entire ski season in North America in 2021, somehow I still made it on my big ski trip that year but I sucked on it 😅

Fractured my skull back in 2007 when nobody wore a helmet caught my heelside edge going moderately fast. Bleeding on the brain and all that stuff that comes with a fractured skull. Took about a year to make a complete recovery. Bought a helmet was out the very next year on slopes got cut off by someone fell and refractured my skull another year off the slopes waited 2 years before I got back on the slopes because I lost all confidence. I'm back out there shredding it!!! The slopes be calling and the addiction is real lol

Watching this as I just dislocated my left elbow 10 days ago. I was lucky it was only a simple dislocation, no fracture, and so far the recovery is going great - I can use it at like 70% and will start exercises next week. Can't wait for next season!

Was at Mountain Creek shredding and ran over an ice patch. Lost my edge and fell on the left side of my hip. When I hit the ice, I heard a crack and I yelled in pain. Thought I fractured my hip, but it was just seriously bruised. I limped down the mountain and called it a day for almost 2 months. It really shook my confidence and had to slowly build up to my normal riding because I was scared about falling on it again. Even to this day, it still scares the hell out of me, but I love the sport too much.

Another time I was at Camelback, and a kid speared me on the backside on my last run of the season, and I didn’t see him until .2 secs before impact. First time I saw my board go over my head. Then I impacted the ground with my upper back and my head bouncing like a basketball. It was so severe, people even came riding up to me to see if I was ok. Took me about 30 secs to come to and realize I just got wiped out. I had the worst head pain of my life, it felt like if my brain was going to pop out of my skull. I think my helmet saved my life. I couldn’t get up for almost 5 mins and when I did, almost fell. Not sure if I got a concussion, but if I didn’t, I’m sure it was borderline. First question I asked was what happened, and the people told me. I asked if the kid was ok, but the little shit just got up and rode away, and left me lying there. I saw him later once I got back to the base of the mountain. I felt like going up to him and yelling at him, but I was too dazed and with a pulsating head - I just said fuck it. The lesson, watch your back. You never know when a kid might blindside you, and they’re just going to leave you there, half dead.

Impact Shorts, Knee Pads, WRIST GUARDs, and a Helmet. Everyone I know wearing those bits of kit have not had anything happen to them in the past 5 years of snowboarding

Shattered my wrist on a homemade jump. It took like 3 months to recover and later that year another 4-6 weeks after the removal of the metal. Avoided big jumps in the park ever since

Ruptured spleen, cracked a few ribs. Caught an edge bombing the run before I really had it down. Took me 6 years to really get back out and get that run down.

Broke my femur shredding some trees at Steamboat. I had already been out riding for about a week straight, it was late in the day, and I was pretty wiped. Funny enough, we were in the trees cuz it was whiteout conditions out on the groomer and we thought it'd be safer as we could see what the terrain was doing. Was going just a bit too fast and couldn't make the turn.

Shout-out to ski patrollers for getting me down quick! Had surgery that night to put a titanium rod in place. Was back on my feet about a month later and basically back to normal about three. And of course, still shredding... Just, fewer tree runs lol

Currently watching this as I completely snapped my collarbone, lol. It’s been a couple weeks since my last trip and I was warming up. It was super windy out and caught a heel edge being lazy while working on my heal toe turns, and threw myself about about 10 feet. Hoping it heals fast so I can get back out before the end of the season.

Watching this after I did something to my dominant arm… cant seem to bend, flex or reach it very far. Just started a job at a ski resort and intended to spend the rest of the season practicing.

Nice heel edge catch end of the day at Roundtop Mtn PA last year.

Moderate speed, dragging my hand in the snow (trying to look cool) on the toe carve then a lazy transition to the heel edge locking it in while it was still down hill.

Saw my Snowboard upside down in the air. Full scorpion tumble. Landed on tailbone first, then back of my head slammed down.
Hurt real bad for months, really hit my confidence riding.

Didn't realise it at the time, but recently been having bad nerve pain. Found a bulging disc L4-L5 ... pretty sure that fall was the initial trauma that caused it.

Fractured rib in 2017… tommahawked on my first run of the day. It was a pow day too and i made the mistake of taking a new board out with super soft beginner bindings.

NEVER MADE THAT MISTAKE AGAIN!!! 😂
