When Peter said “is that why that shel Silverstein blob is following u?” I think he’s referring to the classic 1976 shel Silverstein book “the missing piece” and the character has the same shape as fam guy but…

1. In the book I don’t think the blob didn’t wanted to fu*k
2. The character is not the exact same art-style
3. He’s not Voiced by shel (even though he died)

Assuming a person's attitude is the cause of their loneliness or something.

Are their attitudes making them lonely or is the loneliness the cause of their attitude?

Who knows?

I know it's hard to be hopeful and positive when no one gives you the time of day and you have to constantly see everyone else enjoy what really oughta be a simple pleasure in life since everyone and their mama has in the very least had at least one romantic or even just one sexual relationship in their lifetime and some have yet to even have a kiss.

Personally it's hard to be positive and hopeful when constantly being reminded of your loneliness. Just seeing a beautiful woman or person can do it.
