InPresence host, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, is author of The Roots of Consciousness, Psi Development Systems, and The PK Man. Between 1986 and 2002 he hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series. He is the recipient of the only doctoral diploma in "parapsychology" ever awarded by an accredited university (University of California, Berkeley, 1980). For many years he served as president of the non-profit Intuition Network, an organization dedicated to creating a world in which all people were supported and encouraged in developing inner intuitive abilities.

Here he references the very name of this monologue series, InPresence, as having originally been a discussion group for professionals in the field of intuition. Being present in the moment is a path that leads to cultivation of intuitive and psychic capacities. He discusses the meaning of the phrase, Be Here Now, using the example of walking into a room and forgetting why you came there. He also describes his experience of being present while conducting video conversations.

I would watch your videos with my grandma a lot before she passed and I really really appreciate the work you do.

When Jeffrey is up, laughing and positive as he is in this video, there is no more vibrant and supportive energy one could be around.

Thanks, exactly the message for what I identified this morning to work on for myself. I've been pushing myself to make progress on complicated work through planning and logic, only to find myself irritable and worn out. Intuition/Spirit (your video being part of that) is encouraging me to be more present in the moment and be open to guidance instead of closing myself off with stress and feeling overwhelmed.

Thanks for reminding me of that album, Jeff. I've been listening to it for the first time in many moons--it's a classic. It's difficult to overstate the influence "Mr. Zimmy" had way back then.

Great talk on being Here and Now... Oh, and by the way, you DON'T look your stated age... You don't look a day over 50... I'm willing to bet it's your state of mind (healthy, positive, joyful, inquisitive) that keeps you young-looking (and drawn to, attracted to) Life. Keep up the good work! Love you for the good work you do, and for the good you give out to the world!

It is a beauty to not be immediately intellectually. Like art. You dont know why you are touched emotional. You just feel and explore your inner you. Whao the wallpapper was nice...

Please reflect on the old thinking allowed interview with ug krishnamurti. A lot of us want to be aware of your reflections.

Yes, I too have never been happier. However, I thought my happiness (on days following adequate sleep) is the consequence of curing my neurosis via being my own Therapist.

On Being Here Now, I had the book in my early 20s. At that time, I did not have the interest to pursue those thoughts. I told myself I would look into that Realm many years from then.
Here I Am!

And yes, who, over 70 has not walked into a room and forgotten why they were there. I think the mushroom powder called Lion's Mane, stirred into my coffee helps! But then, I'm a Leo...so LM
may help me ready my day.

You're very well-read, it's well known.
And you KNOW something's happening, but you don't know what it is. Do you, Mr. Jones?"

Thank you for being with us too many, many times. Or is it just one big time? Action go is all I know, I've been seeing, very strange, non local and local download activation. All I know is thank you. I have no idea. I stepped way out of my comfort zone

Alan Watts said psychic abilities are not desirable because if you could see the future, it would then become the past. He said we humans love surprises. I think he's right, to an extent.

Once I clearly experienced precognition. This was my only psychic moment, and it was incredibly fascinating. That being said, I don't know that I'd want to consistently experience precognition.

To me, examining synchronicities and practicing divination are more of an intuitive approach to exploring possible future outcomes. I love I Ching and Tarot, because they are great tools for opening up the subconscious and activating the intuition. I'm still not sure how clearly I want to see the future, but the topic is still a huge curiosity.

I think now can be different lengths of being here, and here can be different sizes in the now. Presence (awareness) can be somewhere/somewhen else or here-now (and everything in between). Being mentally here-now and physically there-then - or vice versa - is absent-mindedness, isn't it? But, if you intend there and then to be here when it gets to be now, there's a better chance that your presence will be felt. (Yours is quite strong, Jeff.)
I once spent several years (after reading some of Tarthang Tulku's books) trying very hard to stop the constant chatter in my head. It finally got to the point that I had difficulty speaking (finding words), but I was very present. (Then I had to try to get my fluency and vocabulary back again.) It did help a lot in the area of listening to what other people (and the world) were saying to me, though. Still, even thinking about purpose is a distraction, though (for me).
