Yup, I went to the now infamous #Balakot. I travelled from #Abbottabad through #Mansehra then along the Kunhar River to beautiful Balakot. Balakot will surprise you will it's epic scenery, street food, and hospitality. This is a good-old small town in #Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region.

Once there, I explored this little town 50km from the LOC, and I ate two things: Shami Burger and Chapli Kebab. And of course 2 cups of #chai. Chai was Rs. 20 (₹9) per cup, Chapli Kebab with 1 Naan was Rs. 50 (₹22). I totally forget the price of the Shami Burger - it was probably Rs. 50 too.

Ps. The Shami Kebab in this video is veg. I remember asking the shop owner. I think they use daal and other things in it instead of meat.

I belong to balakot. People are not well off, however, their hearts are rich. Their generosity knows no bound.
Felt proud while watching this video.

I am an overseas pakistani, i went Pakistán a few months ago, i ordered 3 milkshake for me and two of my cousins at a shop, when i wanted to pay the money, the shopkeeper says that the guy was sitting next to you paid for you as well before leaving, so you dont need to pay, and there was almost tears of hapiness in my eyes. Proud to be a Pakistani❤

It’s videos like these which just angers me more at the politicians which rob us of the opportunity to go and visit such beautiful places. As a foodie, I would love nothing more than to be able to experience Pakistani street food! Enjoy Karl! And I shall experience it through your vlogs 😀

I have been to Balakot. At night when you come outside of your hotel, it’s pitch dark, but you can still feel the presence of surrounding huge mountains hovering over you. Loved the feeling!

Dear Karl Rock,
You are putting in great efforts to bring the people of India Pakistan together and that too in a very subtle manner. Thanks for bringing out a different picture of Pakistan than the one showcased by 24x7 news in India. All the best to you

One thing about Pakistan is that its natural beauty is intact. It hasn't been destroyed by corporates and beautification.

Balakot was completely destroyed in October 2005 earthquake. I volunteered there for relief efforts during those days. Horrors of disaster and people's suffering are unexplainable. It's sooo good to see life returning to normal. Qudos to the hospitality of person who paid for Karl.
