Former Air Force chief BS Dhanoa Thursday said that India was ready to wipe out Pakistan's forward brigades had Islamabad's "military adventure" been successful in response to the Balakot aerial strikes and added that "our military posture was very offensive". His remarks came after Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leader Ayaz Sadiq said in the National Assembly that Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi had in an important meeting pointed out that if Pakistan did not release Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman, India would attack Pakistan "that night by 9 pm".

Our missile shot down our own chopper resulting in loss of personnel and citizens. Perhaps, as a consequence, our SAM missiles were not in operational mode when an F-16 formation came in to attack an army installation guarded by an SU-30. India Breach the LC on 26 feb but unable to deter Pakistan.
Next day on 27 feb. Pakistan attacked india in broad daylight and successful deter the India.
There was no follow-up attack by Indian. Which mean Pakistan effectively retain the superiority and deterrence.
