Thank you, dear Friends. It was a honor and big happiness to sing Requiem of Mozart with such fantastic orchestra and maestro Ildebrando Ferrari Mura!

This was a wonderful performance of a beautiful piece of music in a historic and beautiful church. I am grateful to everyone involved in the performance, and to EWTN for airing it and for publishing it on YouTube.

However, it's heartbreaking to see that Mozart's Requiem *Mass* is relegated to a concert performance in this historic and sacred church, rather than being performed as it was intended, as musical accompaniment to the Mass itself. It seems that this music and this church are being treated here as artifacts in a museum. How much more wonderful would it be if a priest had celebrated the holy sacrifice of the Mass in this historic church, with this heavenly music as accompaniment!

While I was grateful for the opportunity to listen to Mozart's sublime Requiem in this space, I was underwhelmed by this performance. The orchestra, while capable, seemed thinly staffed, especially for such a vast, resonant space. The choir seemed alert and energetic, but the solo performances, in my opinion, left a great deal to be desired. It was difficult to hear the bass soloist sing, while in the case of the soprano and mezzo, it was not difficult enough. The tenor had a nicely focused sound, but there were places where the critical cohesion of solo voices, chorus and instruments went blurry. And there was a section, about midway through the piece, sounding like a choral Amen, but which I have never before heard, in any Requiem, and which did not seem to be composed by Mozart. Research must be done. In all, this effort left me wanting to hear the Requiem again, but performed by someone else.
