Rearchitect and Replace are completely two separate Rs. Rearchitect is changing code heavily but keeping the same features and functions while Replace is replacing on-premise app with a ready SaaS offering (for Example Microsoft exchange on-premise replaced with cloud-based O365. This is based on Gartner 7 Rs
