LA Kings Reveal Their Brand Evolution with New Logo!

The LA Kings today officially announced and unveiled a brand evolution consisting of new team logos and design elements. Specifically, the teams new primary mark, which contains core elements from the club’s 90s era and original crown from the team’s inception in 1967. Additionally, the club introduced new word marks, brand font and updated color palette, which features a new “enhanced silver,” which will be showcased on the club’s new jerseys that will be introduced next week. All marks go into effect immediately.

The new logo is a reimagined version of the iconic logo the Kings featured from 1988-1998 and now features an updated version of the original “Kings Crown” from their inaugural season in Los Angeles. The official team colors remain Black, Silver, and White.

I think most of us knew they would go back to Chevy logo. The first part of the video made me think that they were going to mix in some other colors in the outline or the crown though. It’s all good, stoked for a new era! 👑

Retro meets modern. I think it’s perfect. Original crown with the black and silver coloring. Back to the Gretzky era Chevron logo with a modernized font.

I like it!! I kinda figured it was almost time to sorta revive the classic logo with a sort of new look to it as well. Nice work. I've always considered this their logo all along. 🙂

As a Kings fan, I'm happy with the new logo. It can't be *exactly* the same as what we've had in the past (also considering they were our "unsuccessful" years), but it's a marked improvement on the design of the past 12 years, which has been bittersweet - bland, ugly but the design we won our cups in. I would have liked to have seen Forum Blue and Gold return, but am equally happy with our Black and Silver. I have my '90s CCM jerseys and several brand new first edition Retro Reverse jerseys so I'm content.

Sorry, the original 6 still have a closeness to original jerseys and I love that, Kings colors are forum blue (Purple) and Yellow, not Raider's Black and Silver

If the Kings make the recoloured iconic crown as the main jersey crest, this will be their best-ever black & silver uniform.🖤🩶🤍✔️ Hope 💜🤍💛 becomes a future 3rd. If not, I would LOVE to see the Kings try purple/Forum Blue with silver with NO black.💜🩶🤍 If an overwhelming number of fans love it, promote it. Purple/Forum Blue should always be the Kings' primary dark colour 24/7.

I still like the banner logo they were using and i would like for them to keep it in rotation, maybe as a shoulder patch, as a link to their Stanley Cup wins, maybe they will use the logo in the collar as a hanger effect. I do like the boldness of the Los Angeles on the logo and its easier to see, especially as i get older i can see it better, i just find that the KINGS script looks a bit to cartoony, may just take some time to get use to it. Look forward to seeing the full set.

It’s absolutely perfect. Add a forum blue and gold alt/third to go along with this and we’ll have one of the best logo + jersey setups in the league. Hopefully this brings and end to the ”LA Kings” branding route you’ve chosen all over social media too, we’re the *Los Angeles* Kings not the *LA* Kings. SPELL IT OUT
