I think it's a huge difference. Don't know what so many people are seeing that makes them think this is small. It's not just contrast, it's better texture and the actual lines of the faces and bodies themselves. Looks way more real.

Yes, when it comes to 3D environment, the AI only recreates the quality of the original footage which is compressed and zoomed in. But when it comes to faces, bodies and skin... It is mindblowing I think.
We can only guess what will look the future when this technology will work in real time.
But seriously, who would want to play with npcs this realistic 😂 it's unsettling asf

The biggest difference is the higher detail of the faces. Everything else looks pretty realistic already.

I like when AI makes the humans more realistic. I think AI is a good tool to make the humans more realistic because AI can add a lot of natural details on top of the details made by the 3d artists

The main (but not only) difference between the original and AI image is the AI gives things slightly more contrast and darkness which is more in line with how things look IRL. We'll be able to replicate this slightly by lowering the gamma/brightness setting in-game. The same can be done on gta 5 and it makes a huge difference and gives the realism a slight bump by making colours pop a bit more and darker shadows, instead of looking washed out.

More than anything else, I'm sorta looking forward to the days when AI chat is a real thing. Imagine being able to talk to and hold a conversation with anyone in game.
