It could be legendary if she promoted to a bishop

In case anyone was wondering, stockfish says white is +49.8 after that blunder, and in the position where she resigns she actually has mate in 9

I accidentally paused the video and wondering why he took so long to make a move and then realize how stupid I am

0:02 is a position where black has a forced checkmate in 3 moves. Rook g2+, King h4, g5, and then rook take h3 mate. However, the move rook g3+ is a blunder and is a forced mate for white in 16 moves or less.

I love how chess mistakes are called blunders. It sounds so natural but is very specific to the game.

Hikaru: blunders, wins by resignation

I think it’s so funny how Hikaru looks like he got shot from the impact of his blunder

For those who did not understand, Yifan was one move away to promote to a queen at c8 and the diagonal was eyeing at h3 where Hikaru was planning to mate by moving his rook to h2 in the last move. If yifan had promoted, Hikaru wouldve lost a rook probably.

doesnt matter with 0.4 seconds, people act like its unfair when someone loses on time with a better position but actually time is the 17th piece you play with in chess, even classical

The face he made when he finally realized

I could basically hear Hikaru at the end: "so bad. So bad. I'm so bad at chess. Terrible, just terrible. So bad"

They all think that Hikari was thinking, planning and recalling everything when in reality he is just updating his database
