I've never really grown date palms before, but a year ago I when to my cousin Ron's house and he has over 50 varieties of fruiting size date palms grow in ground at his house. So a year ago I started growing one. Your video was very informative, thank.

We’re going to plant our medjool dates in 45 gallon pots lining them up in our backyard fence where the road are too noisy in front of a high school. Living in the city, our subdivision is prone from all kinds of nuisance but planting fruit trees around helps. Thanks for this video to give us tips of growing them, God bless!🙏❤️🤗

Sprouted like 100 seedlings 2 years later only 4 survived in my arid dry part of south Texas. There 1 1/2 ft tall and survived 26 degree freezes like nothing. My advice; dont use the fluorinated/chlorinated city water to water them.

I love date fruits in making cookies. I can remember my Mom having them when I was younger. I believe these grow pretty well along NC's coastal areas. They remind me a bit of oleander, which also grow there.

I am in las vegas, I have two date trees that came with the ranch I bought, they are big but I noticed man off shoots growing like you said so I cut them; and actaully was looking to date palm tree care, so thank you for the video, I keep cuting off the extra shoots that comes out.

Near Fremantle Western Australia there is a date grove planted by the first English Settlers They are very hardy and can live a very long time . The only issue is that they fall in high wind during storms as they get so tall .

I get pretty fresh dates here in SoCal, and often toss the seeds into my land. I see sprouts pretty regularly, sometimes in non-ideal locations. When is the best time to pull these up for replanting? I've had some luck pulling them pretty early, though the root is pretty delicate (but long). Great video!

I'm in Phoenix AZ, and my two pigmy palms were on a drip system, which now has leaks.

Can I drop a hose and do a slow trickle? Or I was thinking of using a flat soaker hose, letting it run for a couple of hours, at least until I can get someone to repair my drip system.
