I have two of these wearable poncho-quilt things.
They are warmer than a jacket, and lighter than carrying a quilt AND a jacket.
I have the same problem with narrowness.
Your solution of wearing a regular poncho over the insulated poncho is a great idea. +1

That poncho is a Swagman Roll Basic alternative, but also with a camo pattern that Helikon-Tex don't do (not yet anyway). Could be useful for stealth situations in woodland settings.

The poncho looks good. I think the poncho is more versatile than blanket. When it gets really cold, a neck gator would go perfectly with the poncho. ✌️🇺🇸🇨🇦✌️

I think you’re being a little apologist for them on this one Mark. If they say it’s water proof, it doesn’t matter if it’s a good thing it isn’t. Someone could literally die in the back country if they were dumb enough to believe the claims of a cheap Chinese company. If they make a claim like that, they should flat out be called out.
For the price I do agree it’s alright, though hunters should be aware that deer, elk, moose etc. don’t see the same as us and often bogus camouflage looks great to us, but lights up to them
